God. “In the beginning, God . . . “ Genesis 1:1 God is the one true living God, infinite, all knowing, perfect in all His attributes, One eternally existing in three persons – the Father Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.” John 1: 1 Jesus is God and Savior, fully God and fully human. As the Son of God, we believe in His deity, virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, resurrection, and coming return.
The Holy Spirit. “. . . and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters . . . “ Genesis 1:2 The Holy Spirit is God, His Presence and Power living within every Christian from the moment of salvation and securing them until Christ’s return.
The Bible. “All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16 – 17 The Bible is God’s Word, truth without any mixture of error, totally sufficient and completely authoritative for matters of life and faith.
People. “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness . . . So God created man in His image, in the image of God He created them, male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:26, 27. People are God’s treasure, fashioned in His image, born with a sin nature and into an environment inclined toward sin. Only by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ can they experience salvation.
Salvation. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8 – 9. Salvation is by faith alone, wholly by grace on the basis of the redeeming work of Christ and not in human merit. All the redeemed are secure in Christ forever.
Church. “But you are a chosen people, royal priests, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession. You were chosen to tell about the wonderful acts of God, who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9 A local church is comprised of baptized believers who under the leadership of God’s Spirit have joined together to nurture spiritual maturity and further Christ’s mission in the world.
The Future. “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.” Romans 8:18. God holds the future and this hope motivates believers in their daily lives. One day Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth.
